Annie Hooker

BIOGRAPHY

Annie Hooker's monochromatic paintings and prints are visual poems of a bygone era. She explores themes of nostalgia and shared collective memory. Nostalgia being defined as a "wistful desire to return in our thoughts or in fact to a former time in one's life, to one's homeland, or to one's family and friends; a sentimental yearning for the happiness of a former time or place."

She uses simple, bold compositions to focus on the subject, creating dynamic, stylish and often playful pieces of art that are universally loved.

Her mixed media transfer prints are available in 9" x 9", 16" x 16", and 30" x 30" but can also be customized to specifically fit your space and come in a variety of colors.

Annie lives in Truckee with her husband Andrew Bolam, their four adopted dogs and his dangerous cat.
